Dear all,

please find attached a LEAP-RE funding call pre-announcement. LEAP-RE (Long-term Joint AU-EU Research and Innovation Partnership on Renewable Energy) is a programme with 94 consortium partners, co-funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020).

One part of the LEAP-RE activities is implementing transnational joint Calls for Proposals for collaborative projects, co-funded by European and African national research funding agencies and with an additional EC top-up. The Finnish funding agency involved is the Academy of Finland.

Consortia applying for funding must consist of research teams from a minimum of four countries from Europe and Africa, with at least 2 from European countries and at least 2 from African countries.

The final Call should be published on 15 January 2021, with a deadline for pre-proposals on 1 April 2021.
